I hate HIPPA:)

I am not an attorney so I won’t even venture to guess an answer to you. However remember the spirit of the law was intended to stop doctors from selling private patient information… it was NOT intended to stop people from sending birthday cards… newsletter to patients… etc.

For this reason most of our clients are using a HIPPA “disclaimer” of some kind and have all new patients sign this as standard practice.

I really enjoyed your post. Thank you for sharing.
I guess the biggest question is, if we are taking pictures or even video testimonials of patients…do you have any idea what info to have them sign for HIPAA purposes?
